Big Heng in Peoria

This might be the best place in Phoenix to have the "Chinese lunch". Food is generous and so tasty. The service is a little slow but so worth it. I'll drive miles for this. Amazing!

Good food, nice portions, fast service...

I absolutely love this place! This has been the only Asian restaurant my family and I have been going to for many years. The food is always to die for and the wait staff is always so friendly!

The food has flavor getting hard to find in most Chinese restaurant you want bland then please stay away you love food that taste good give it a try.

Pretty good food and pretty reasonable prices. We have been going there for years but the last time we dined in, it was a disappointment. Takeout is the way to go (and the only way to get Big Heng right now). I called in a dinner order to feed 7 and it was ready within 10 min.

REAL Chow Fun! Hooray! Like Mott Street in Chinatown NYC. BIG portions for such reasonable prices! If you're on the West side of the valley it's a must!

Food is amazing. Lately they have been running a little slow and kinda seem disorganised but its amazing they're staying open and still taste so good when out seems everyone else forgot how to cook

One only because the food is bomb, very delicious. The service though was awful! We waited 7 minutes to be acknowledged for drinks. Overall bad service always when you come with kids. Not family friendly.

We have been going here for years, they are the iconic hole in the wall restaurant, not much ambiance, but what is lacking in ambiance they make it up in freshly cooked, reasonably priced, & very tasty product. The service is great very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Give this place a try and you will be glad you did.

Mediocre food, got our order wrong, clean place, timely service, reasonable prices. No pizzazz.

Much larger and nicer in decor and size, this strip mall Chinese restaurant suprised us! We were greeted with egg flower soup and two servers who checked with us in regards to our drinks. The lunch menu is pretty standard in choices and price, but the food was served piping hot and in large portions. My standard sweet and sour chicken was OK, so I'll try something else next time. My friend had the Kung Po chicken and said it was one of best he'd had-but watch out! It was spicy! Just the way he liked it. They charge $1 for a pot of tea. Other than not having hot and sour as an option on the lunch menu, we thought it was very good and will return.

Been in this area almost 20 years. Our favorite place closed so we had to try a new one. I ordered Hunan chicken, daughter ordered teriyaki chicken. Both were the lunch specials that included fried rice (loved this because there were no peas in it), 2 wontons and an egg roll. The amount food was generous. Both of us saved half to eat the next day. This will be our new go to for Asian take out.

Came here because of the reviews but will not be returning . Got 2 chk kung pao, very disappointing

Fabulous food! Fast and friendly service! I've been going there for years and having the sweet and sour chicken. I recently tried the sesame chicken and it's a new favorite! My third choice is orange chicken. I love that I can order food to go and it's ready quickly.

fabulous people serving delicious foods. The cuts of the meat are tender and not overcooked. Food is flavorful. My recommendation -> Salt and Pepper Shrimp. Get the crab puffs.

Good Chinese food. We've been going there for years. Large portion sizes and reasonably priced meals. The staff is friendly and some of them have worked there for many years.

The food is FANTASTIC! Still no indoor seating but the take out is fresh and hot. So good.

Small family run place. Been around long time. Food is decent the norm and I don't get an upset stomach after eating. Servings are big.

I have been eating at Big Heng for more than 15 years!!! The food is consistently excellent and the service is above and beyond! We order family style and always have leftovers. The pricing is reasonable and you certainly get your money's worth. Our favorites are the Crab Puffs, Egg Drop Soup, Sesame Chicken and Beef with Broccoli.

Large-plate portions for the price. So much food I took home leftovers. Highly recommend the sesame chicken / teriyaki chicken. I recommend this restaurant.

I miss eating here... when I use to live in Peoria this was my top favorite Chinese spot. I never had an issue with there service there food was always just right. I really can’t complain. Even my mother loved it here and she’s very precise when it comes to any Chinese restaurant!

Im new to AZ & just ordered from here for the first time ever. I am so impressed!! First of all they took my order with 10 mins till close which was awesome..... I get my carryout home and It is INCREDIBLE!! All of it is cooked perfectly, amazing flavor, super fresh crisp vegetables, soup is delicious & nothing was greasy or over cooked (which is so hard to come by especially at the end of the night). I am SOOOO happy with my experience & can't wait to order again! Definitely have a customer for life!

Was not impressed by their food at all!!! Fried rice doesn’t come with anything in it, no pease pease carrots or egg. Sesame chicken was ok not normal breading at mostly other Chinese restaurants it taste and look like sweet and sour chicken. Pricing and sizing of food is on point only reason for the second star and it’s hot!

I've been coming here for over 15 years. I love this place, the food is the best Chinese food I've found. Also if you live or work in Phoenix, check out their cousin store called Dragon Island at 1739 West Glendale Avenue. These are the only 2 Chinese restaurants that I regularly go to. Ignore the one star review, I think they were probably somewhere else since I've never seen a heavy weight person who works there. Secondly if they were actually at Big Heng then please realize that everyone has bad days. It might have been yours or it could have been theirs. I dare you to try them again and I would be shocked if you gave anything less than 5 stars. I really love teh crab puffs and any of their chicken dishes, they are awesome!

Last minute choose and it was great. Planning on going back. Big plate of food. Sweet and sour chicken was delicious. 4 year old picky eater liked vegetable lo mein. Great flavor not greasy. What made it more amazing is the employee. They were so kind. Steamed rice was not dry or old tasty. I highly recommend this place. There was actually a gentlemen in a Porsche who came in to eat. Just saying.

Comfort food at it's best. The servers and all staff are friendly and so inviting this hidden gem is a must eat,from there chicken dishes to the beef and shrimp are finely prepared and made with with love . The pricing is very fair and the lunch special is outstanding from 11 AM to 3 PM is a great value and the servings are hearty.

Nice ambience, friendly service at tables, etc. Tasty food, large portions, family atmosphere, 2 large dining tables, plus smaller tables, approximately 10 comfortable booths. High chairs, fast empty dish removal, television, rest room. Enjoy.. :)

Only one of two places that I love Chinese food, family owned and operated. I was brought here for a date and fell in love with the food not the guy. I'm going to have to say this place has the best egg drop soup in the entire world. Yeah, I said it. I'm not joking. It's outstanding. What ever you do in life stop once and get the Damm soup. Unless you are allergic to eggs and you'll die. Then stop in and get the soup. Score major brownie points for picking some up for someone who is sick. The seafood taste fresh and amazingly clean. I'm so glad I found out about this place, don't let the cover fool you lots of good stuff is inside.

Always a great place to eat. They have fantastic lunch specials along with a handful of dinner specials. More bang for your buck during lunch. The place is usually packed. Carry out is always a good option to. Service is freaky fast...

I've been coming here for over 15 years, it's always been great. I only wish they would have never changed recipes on the Lemon Chicken & Orange Chicken. I liked it way better back then than now, don't get me wrong there still good. I just wished they kept everything as original as possible regarding recipes. Great

Found this place by accident, it's now my favorite Chinese place. My go to sweet and sour chicken is amazing. They don't mix the sauce so you decide on how much. It's fresh and not greasy. Highly recommend!!!

Big Heng is the best chinese around. They have very good food at reasonable prices and are fast and friendly. We have been coming here for many years and even though we have moved out of the neighborhood nearby we still travel past many other chinese places to eat here.

This is the best Asian food I've ever eaten! I will always be a return customer. Their customer service, quickness in preparing orders, and food quality all deserves 5 stars! Thanks Big Heng for being so awesome!
